Wednesday, March 17, 8 PM. No, Bix Beiderbecke wasn't Irish. Just a coincidence that the Big Bix Blast falls on Saint Patrick's Day. This year there's an especially big band, with TWO cornets at the head of an 8-piece all-star ensemble. That's Randy Sandke and Jon-Erik Kellso, backed by Dan Levinson, Mark Shane, Scott Robinson, Joel Forbes, Harvey Tibbs and Rob Garcia. "The Young Man With a Horn" would be pleased by the turnout, which is likely to fill every seat. Order yours early... and save a few bucks too.

This series is temporarily quartered at the Toms River Library building while its home at Ocean County College is under renovation. It's less than a mile from Parkway exit 81; directions below. Request tickets, directions from the OCC Box Office at (732) 255-0500.

Concerts are one long set, from 8 to 9:30 PM, allowing working people to attend and still get home at a decent hour. The tab is reasonable too: only $13 in advance, $15 at the door. Ticket info below.

April 14 		ATLANTIC CITY JAZZ BAND. A full seven pieces will fill Mancini Hall with the sounds of top rate traditional jazz.

Tickets: $13 in advance, $15 at the door. Purchase in advance from the Ocean County College box office: (732) 255-0500. The box office can also provide information and directions.
Directions: Just 4 miles from the OCC campus and less than a mile from Parkway exit 81, either direction. From Exit 81, bear right onto Lakehurst Rd, then bear right onto CR-527. Turn left onto Main St. and right onto Washington. The Library's street address is 101 Washington Street, 08753 if you are using a navigator. The Library itself does not sell the concert tickets.
